Sports Performance Enhancement

Development of a strong mental game is an essential compliment to an athlete’s physical talent. Athletes that demonstrate grit and a growth mindset (i.e., ability to move on after mistakes, maintain confidence and composure in the face of adversity) tend to perform more proficiently over time. Using a strengths-based approach, we focus on enhancing mental training to help athletes break through mental barriers (e.g., perfectionism, unrealistic expectations, fear of failure, lack of emotional control and attentional focus) that keep them from their peak potential.
